Pumpkin Patch Field Trip {10-7-15}

PreK3, 4, and Kindergarten all went to Scott Pumpkin Patch for their fall field trip! I was excited the boys would be on the same field trip. Caleb sure loves playing with Dylan all the time! We stayed for 3 hours!!!!!! It was a great time even though Dylan is now fighting a big time allergy attack because of the hay.  Bless.

It was great fun! Dylan played with Caleb and his new friend Carter! We ate sack lunches and were so tired after the trip!

Life Lately

I'm October came in like a whirlwind! We are soooooo busy! Here's what we have been up to and it is only October 6!
It's cooling off so we have been heading to the park a lot after school!
This is a fabulous throw back from 2003. As of September 30, 2015, we've been together for 15 years. This picture was taken at the beach, but our first date was to see Hollow Man at Lakewood Theatre and eat dinner at TGIFridays. I can still tell you the outfit I wore on our first date (and I still have that shirt for nostalgia) and Jonathan said if the theatre was still there, he could take me to the exact theatre and seat. Sweet sweet memories. Love that guy and the long, curly, blonde hair!
Daddy Vell bought the boys a "like new" telescope. They were all excited! Dylan proclaimed, "this is the best, I love it!" We are hoping to be able to see some stars down by the lake!
We celebrated Pink Day at school! Two of our teachers are survivors and the school surprised them with a celebratory walk and a special morning for them!
We have officially busted out the cowboy boots, only to discover that Dylan's are almost too small! I'm thankful for growing boys, cowboy boots, football, and that the Hogs finally pulled out a win over Tennessee!
Our GAP children led service began this month. Dylan led "Blue Skies and Rainbows." Caleb got too nervous to stand up there, but maybe he will next time! I really have been thinking a lot lately about what's most important in their lives. I know that we are here to teach them many things as they grow, but nothing is more important than their Christian walk. "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?"
Caleb and I visited the children's library. He was much more interested in exploring for owls (?) on the library grounds than checking out a book or staying for the entire story time. In his defense, the story time we happened upon was geared towards younger kiddos.
Be looking for our next posts to come. We will be introducing a new member to the family soon (and no I am not pregnant). :-)
Happy October!!
